How to get fish blood out of clothes

If you've been fishing or handling fish, it's not uncommon to get fish blood on your clothes. While fish blood stains may seem difficult to remove, there are some steps you can take to get rid of them. Here's what you need to do:

1. Rinse with cold water: As soon as possible, rinse the stain with cold water to remove as much blood as possible. Avoid using hot water as it can set the stain.

2. Pre-treat with a stain remover: Apply a stain remover or liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. Gently rub the stain with your fingers to work the stain remover into the fabric.

3. Wash in cold water: Wash the garment in cold water using a laundry detergent that contains enzymes. Enzymes help to break down protein-based stains like blood.

4. Check the stain: After washing, check to see if the stain has been removed. If it hasn't, repeat steps 2 and 3 before drying the garment.

5. Use a bleach alternative: If the stain still persists, try using a bleach alternative like hydrogen peroxide or white vinegar. Mix one part bleach alternative with three parts water and apply it to the stain. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before washing again.

By following these steps, you can effectively remove fish blood stains from your clothes. However, prevention is always better than cure. If you're fishing, wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty or stained. And if you do get blood on your clothes, try to treat the stain as soon as possible. Its also good to note that FYNX fishing shirts repel stains extremely well
